Along with greater physical fitness, strength and flexibility, Rebekah teaches her students to calm their minds in order to begin to sense the more subtle aspects of their yoga practice. Students are encouraged to work with their breath consciously, to explore asana (yoga poses) rather than hold them mechanically or rigidly. She works with both flowing practice (vinyasa) and long, introspective still poses that require patience and a letting go of mental and physical resistance.
Yoga Therapy Private consultations can be a huge support in your practice, and as a compliment to your current health care. In a one-hour session, Rebekah will help you to identify the goals of your practice. We will work with discovering your unique postural imbalances, to overcome injury & chronic pain. We may delve deeply into poses you have struggled with, or develope a personalised routine that suits your needs for practicing at home. Therapeutic Consultations are held at the Harmony Center (Tuesdays) and at Claymont Court. You do not have to be a current student to benefit. Yoga Classes I am currently on sabatical in Berkeley CA until April 2012 and am not teaching any regular classes during this time. Call for private lessons or special group classes.

Private Classes Rebekah is available to teach private yoga classes. The class format is developed to suit the specific needs of the group. Previous groups have enjoyed this for special occasions such as wedding-day yoga!
